Create our Candy Row Bodysuit and Hat suitable to fit dolls 31–36 cm (12–14 inches).
The Bodysuit is decorated with colourful rows of slipped stitches, creating bright little pops of contrast that are simple to work yet wonderfully effective. The upper yoke features an attractive mock‑cable effect, adding soft structure without the complexity of real cabling.
The matching Hat echoes the same slipped‑stitch detailing, completing the set with a finish that frames the doll’s face beautifully.
Design: The Bodysuit and Hat have an easy to knit pattern. The bodysuit is knitted on straight needles as one piece to the yoke where the sleeves are joined in. Stitches are picked up for the buttonbands.
Sizes: Includes 1 size to fit doll: 31-36 cms or 12-14 inches.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the outfit knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Cream (002), Dusky Pink (040), Smokey Blue (042) and Lilac (007).
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
