The Rosehip Bobble Dresses bring together three variations of the same design — a short‑sleeved dress, a sleeveless dress, and a pinafore — all featuring the same beautifully textured popcorn‑stitch skirt that gives the collection its signature rosehip character.
Each dress is knitted in double knitting (DK) wool, with twisted rib edgings that frame the bodice and hems. The short‑sleeved and sleeveless versions fasten at the back with buttons, making them easy to dress onto your doll.
The pinafore dress offers an alternative, with straps that fasten using press studs (poppers) for practicality, topped with decorative buttons. Designed to fit dolls in three sizes from 41–51 cm (16–20 inches).
Design: The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. For the Short Sleeved and Sleeveless Dress, stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and for the opening at the back.
Sizes: Includes 3 sizes to fit doll: 41 (46, 51) cms or 16 (18, 20) inches.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
