About the Knitting Pattern

Designed for children aged 1 to 11 years and knitted in double knitting wool, this festive Christmas hat features a cheerful Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer motif, a double‑rib folded brim, and a large pompom to finish. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.

Design Details

The hat is knitted flat on straight needles. Rudolph’s face is worked using the intarsia method, following the included chart. His bright red bobble nose is knitted separately and sewn on. To complete the hat, you will sew the back seam and attach the pompom.

·       1–2 years

·       2–3 years

·       4–5 years

·       6–7 years

·       8–9 years

·       10–11 years

Skills Level

Intermediate. Written instructions included. Experience working from a chart is recommended.

Yarn

Knitted using double knitting (DK) wool. Suitable alternatives: USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply. Hat shown is knitted using Stylecraft Special DK shades: Lipstick (1246), Camel (1420), Dark Brown (1004), White (1001), and Black (1002).

Needles

·       3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
