Design:
The Coat and Hat have a pretty, lacy pattern and moss stitch edgings. The front, back and sleeves of the Coat are knitted separately and then slipped onto the same needle to complete the yoke which has a decorative tucked edge. The Coat is fastened by press studs with buttons attached for decoration.
Sizes:
1 size to fit doll 38-46 cms or 15-18 inches.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
1 x 100 gram ball of Main shade DK wool – shown as pink/lilac and 1 x 50 gram ball of Contrast – shown as white.
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided. Experience needed to complete the tuck row.
Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
Other requirements:
3 press studs (fasteners/poppers) for Dress
3 buttons for Dress
Stitch holders
