The Star Stitch Dress and Bonnet are designed to fit dolls 41–51 cm (16–20 inches) using double knitting (DK) wool. Both the dress and bonnet have a textured star stitch panel and garter stitch edgings. The dress back opening is fastened with buttons. The bonnet is finished with satin ribbon ties.
Design: For the dress, the front, back and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and for the opening at the back with buttons added. The matching bonnet is fastened with satin ribbon.
Sizes: Includes 3 sizes to fit a doll: 41 (46, 51) cms or 16 (18, 20) inches.
Yarn: Double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
Main picture shows outfit knitted using Rico Baby Dream DK Uni in shades Pink (003) and White (001).
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions in English provided.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
