The Horseshoe Lace Dress and Hat is designed to fit dolls 38–46 cm (15–18 inches) using double knitting (DK) wool. The dress has a horseshoe lace pattern, worked from the hem up to the neatly shaped yoke. A textured bobble border, knitted separately and sewn on, adds a decorative finish. The back opening is fastened with press studs.

The matching hat mirrors the dress with its horseshoe lace and a coordinating bobble edge.

DesignThe front, back and sleeves of the dress are knitted separately and then slipped onto the same needle to complete the yoke.  The bobbled edging is knitted separately and sewn to the edge of the dress and hat. The dress is fastened by press studs.

Sizes1 size to fit doll 15-18 inches or 38-46 cms.

Yarn:  The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).

Skill:  Intermediate.  Written instructions provided. 

Tension22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension. 

NeedlesSizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
