The Triple Frilled Dress and Hat is a DK‑knit set designed to fit dolls 31–46 cm (12–18"). The dress features a triple‑frill hem that gives the silhouette a soft, fluttering movement. Above the frills, a lacy pattern rises gently toward the yoke, adding texture and lightness to the design. A button‑back opening makes dressing easy.
The matching hat echoes the dress with the same lacy pattern, finished with a simple garter‑stitch brim that frames the face and keeps the fit snug.
Design: The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately and then slipped onto the same needle to complete the yoke. Stitches are picked up for the back buttonbands.
Sizes: 2 sizes to fit doll 12-14 (15-18) inches or 31-36 (38-46) cms. Also suitable for a premature (newborn baby).
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided. The Dress is edged with frills, so you will need some knitting experience and longer length needles (or circular needle if preferred).
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
