The Berry Wave Set is worked in double knitting (DK) wool and designed to fit 15–18 inch (38–46 cm) dolls or a newborn baby, featuring a mix of horizontal zigzag waves and sweet bobbles that give the whole set its gentle, berry‑textured charm.
The matinee jacket begins with a delightful bobbled hem, flowing into the signature zigzag wave pattern up to the yoke. From there, the jacket is worked in one piece, starting with rows of bobbles that add texture and character. Stitches are picked up for the button bands.
The romper features garter stitch edges and a central panel of wavy stitches rising to a bobbled yoke. It is knitted in one piece up to the yoke, where the sleeves are joined in so the upper section can be worked seamlessly. A garter stitch back button band completes the practical, easy‑to‑dress design.
The shorts echo the romper with a matching centre panel of zigzag waves, garter stitch leg edges, and a comfortable ribbed waistband where you can add shirring elastic for the perfect fit.
The hat brings the set together with its bobbled brim and the wavy stitch pattern running all the way around, creating a beautifully textured little accessory.
The bootees are kept sweet and simple, finished with a bobbled top edge that ties them neatly into the collection without overwhelming the tiny shape.
Sizes: 1 size to fit a doll 15-18 inches/38-46 cms or newborn baby.
Yarn: The main picture shows the outfit knitted using 50 gram balls of Rico Baby Classic DK wool in shades 004 (Rose) and 001 (White).
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
4 buttons for the Matinee Jacket.

Stitch holders and stitch markers.
Shirring elastic is option for the Shorts.
