Design:
The Dress is a longer length version of the Angel Top. Both have an easy-to-knit pattern and bobbled edging. The Pants and Hat both have the same easy pattern. The front, back and sleeves of the Angel Top and Dress are knitted separately and then slipped onto the same needle to complete the yoke. The hem and back edges are knitted separately and sewn to the item. I have also added ribbon roses to the yoke of the Dress and Angel Top and also shirring elastic for the Pants (both these are optional).
Sizes:
2 sizes to fit doll 38-43 (46-51) cms or 15-17 (18-20) inches. Also suitable for a newborn (0-3 month old) baby.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
For both sizes: to knit the full outfit you will need 3 x 100 grams balls of DK wool.
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
Other requirements:
3 (4) press studs for fastening Angel Top
4 (5) press studs for fastening Dress
Ribbon roses for Dress and Angel Top (optional)
Shirring elastic (for pants)
