Knit our festive jumper featuring a large Rudolph motif, complete with a red pompom nose for a playful, tactile finish children will adore. Knitted in practical double knitting (DK) wool, the sweater has ribbed edges at the neckline, cuffs, and hem to ensure a snug, stretchy fit and is designed for ages from 2 to 13 years old.
Design: The jumper has a motif of Rudolph the Reindeer with a red pompom nose.
The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. A chart is provided to complete the Reindeer motif.
Sizes: The pattern includes 6 sizes: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 years old.
To fit chest: 56, 61, 66, 71, 76 and 81 cms or 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32 inches.
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but you will also need experience of working from a chart to complete the motif.
Yarn: Double knitting wool is required wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the jumper knitted using Stylecraft Special DK shades: Turquoise (1068) and White (1001), Red (Lipstick 1246), Black (1002), Beige (Walnut 1054) and Dark Brown (1004).
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
