A festive jumper for children 3 to 9 years old and featuring three Christmas penguins around the neckline. Knitted in double knitting (DK) wool, the jumper is finished with ribbed edges at the neckline, cuffs, and hem, giving a tidy, stretchy fit that holds its shape beautifully.
Design: The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. A chart is provided to complete the motif.
Sizes: The pattern includes 4 sizes: 3-4, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-9 years old.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).

Stylecraft Special DK shades: Blue (Empire 1829), Red (Lipstick 1246), White (1001), Orange (1256) and Black (1002).
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but experience needed to work from a chart for the motif.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
