Design:
The Cardigan has a basketweave pattern and collar. The front, back, sleeves and collar are knitted separately and sewn together. Stitches are picked up for the buttonbands. The Hat is knitted on straight needles and includes i-cords/pompoms. A crochet edging finishes off the outfit, but this is optional.
Sizes:
1 size to fit doll 48-56 cms or 19-22 inches. Also suitable for a 0-3 month old baby.
Yarn:
The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
You will need: 2 x 100 gram ball of Main Shade and 1 x 100 gram ball of Contrast wool.
Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
1 pair of 4 mm double pointed (cable) needles for i-cords
Other requirements:

About the Knitting Pattern
The Angel Tulip Lace Set is created using double knitting (DK) wool and is suitable for dolls sized 38–46 cm (15–18 inches) or a newborn baby. It includes an angel top, shorts, bonnet and matching blanket, all featuring a delicate tulip lace pattern. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.
Design Details
The angel top is worked in separate front, back and sleeve pieces, then sewn together. Stitches are picked up for the neckband and back button borders. The angel top, bonnet and blanket have their bramble stitch edgings knitted separately and sewn on, with satin ribbon ties added to the bonnet. The shorts have garter stitch leg edgings and a ribbed waist, with optional shirring elastic for a perfect fit.
Sizes
One size included to fit a 15–18 inch (38–46 cm) doll or newborn baby. Blanket finished size: 20 × 18 inches (51 × 46 cm).
