A festive jumper to knit featuring four cheerful snowmen — two on the front and two on the back — each wearing different coloured hats and scarves. Each snowman has a bobble nose and a pompom-topped hat, adding irresistible texture and character that little ones will love.
Knitted in double knitting (DK) wool, this design is sized from 0–3 years old and includes a practical button opening at one shoulder to make dressing easy. The jumper has ribbed edgings at the hem, cuffs, and neckline for a comfortable finish.
Design: The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. One shoulder has a 3 button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the snowmen motifs.
Sizes: The pattern includes 4 sizes: 0-6m, 6-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
jumper shown in main picture is for size 2-3 years and knitted using: Stylecraft Special DK shade: Lipstick (1246), White (1001), Green (1116), Mustard (1823), Turquoise (1068), Violet (1277), Black (1002) and Jaffa (1256).
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
3 buttons.
1 crochet hook (optional) to help pull yarn through when making pompoms
