Knit our Red‑Nosed Reindeer Jumper suitable for children aged from birth to 3 years old. Knitted using double knitting (DK) wool, the sweater features a festive reindeer with a red pompom nose to the front and is finished with ribbed edges at the neckline, cuffs and hem for a classic, stretchy fit that keeps its shape beautifully. A three‑button opening at one shoulder makes dressing easy for babies and toddlers.
Design: The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. One shoulder has a 3-button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the Reindeer motif.
Sizes: The pattern includes 4 sizes: 0-6m, 6-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old.
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but you will also need experience of working from a chart to complete the motif.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool. Jumper shown in main picture is for size 1-2 years and knitted using: Stylecraft Special DK shades: Lipstick (1246), White (0251), Camel (1420), Green (1116), Walnut (1054) and Black (1002).
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
3 buttons.
1 crochet hook (optional) to help pull yarn through when making pompoms
