About the Knitting Pattern

Create a festive knit with the Christmas Teddy Jumper, featuring an adorable teddy bear dressed in a Santa hat and Christmas jacket. Designed to fit children from birth to 3 years, this jumper is knitted in double knitting (DK) wool and includes a practical three‑button shoulder opening to make dressing easier for babies and toddlers. Design Details

The front, back, and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline, and one shoulder features a three‑button fastening for easy dressing. A clear intarsia chart is provided to complete the motif.

Sizes

The pattern includes four sizes:

·       0–6 months

·       6–12 months

·       1–2 years

·       2–3 years

Skills Level

Intermediate. Written instructions are provided, but experience working from a chart is recommended for the motif.

Yarn

Knitted in double knitting (DK) wool. Suitable alternatives include USA Light Worsted or Australian 8‑ply.

Jumper shown is knitted using: Stylecraft Special DK — Turquoise (1068), Lipstick (1246), White (0251), Mocha (1064), Camel (1420), Black (1002).

Needles

·       3.25 mm and 4.0 mm straight needles (USA 3 and 6).

Other Requirements

·       3 × 15 mm buttons for the jumper opening

·       2 × 10 mm buttons for Teddy’s coat

·       Stitch holders
