Knit our festive jumper featuring two red‑nosed reindeers on the front and two matching red‑nosed reindeers on the back. Worked in double knitting (DK) wool, this design includes a three‑button opening at one shoulder, making dressing simple for babies and toddlers. The ribbed borders at the hem, cuffs, and neckline give a clean, professional finish while keeping the fit snug and comfortable
Design: The front, back and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom-up. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. One shoulder has a 3 button fastening to make it easier to lift the jumper over the child’s head. A chart is provided to complete the two reindeers motifs.
Sizes: The pattern includes 4 sizes: 0-6m, 6-12m, 1-2yrs and 2-3 years old.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
Jumper shown in main picture is for size 1-2 years and knitted using:
Stylecraft Special DK shade: Green (1116), White (1001), Camel (1420), Walnut (1054), Black (1002) and Lipstick (1246)
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided, but you will also need experience of working from a chart to complete the motif.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
3 buttons.
