The Little Flower Doll Dresses collection features three variations — a short‑sleeved dress, a sleeveless dress, and a pinafore — all designed to fit dolls 41–51 cm (16–20 inches).
Each piece is knitted in DK wool and showcases the same little flower skirt pattern, where tiny textured flowers form a gentle diamond motif. All three designs are framed with moss‑stitch edgings. The short‑sleeved and sleeveless dresses fasten at the back with button openings. The pinafore echoes the same little flower pattern and moss‑stitch trims and is completed with button‑fastened straps.
Design: The front, back and sleeves are knitted separately on straight needles and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline and for the opening at the back. For the Sleeveless Dress, stitches are picked up to finish off the armhole edges.
For the Pinafore Dress, the front and back are knitted separately and sewn together.
Sizes: Includes 3 sizes to fit a doll: 41 (46, 51) cms or 16, (18, 20) inches.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the outfits knitted using Sirdar Snuggly DK in shades: White (251), Rosy (527), and Biscuit (522).
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
Other requirements:
2 (3, 3) buttons for Short Sleeved Dress and Sleeveless Dress
2 (2, 2) buttons for Pinafore Dress
