Knit our cute Diamond Lattice Sundress designed for little ones from 6 months to 5 years old. The bodice features button‑opening straps for easy dressing, while the garter‑stitch edgings add a clean, classic finish that frames the design beautifully and the skirt showcases an attractive diamond lattice pattern, giving the dress a textured finish.
Design: The dress has a textured lattice pattern and garter stitch edgings. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. Buttons are added to the front to fasten the dress to the straps.
Sizes: The pattern gives instructions for 4 different sizes: 6-12m, 1-2y, 2-3y and 4-5 years old.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
The picture shows the 6-12month-old size knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shade 040 (Dusty Pink).
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25mm and 4.0 mm (USA size 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
