The FlowerPinafore Dress is designed especially for babies and toddlers aged 6 months to 2 years old. Worked in double knitting (DK) wool, the dress has a picot hemline with moss stitch edgings while the skirt features a flower motif pattern.
The bodice is shaped for a comfortable fit, with strap openings fastened by buttons for easy dressing. Whether layered over a t-shirt in cooler months or worn on its own in warmer weather, this pinafore is a versatile piece that children will love to wear.
Design: The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. Buttons are added to the front to fasten the dress to the straps.
Sizes: The pattern gives instructions for 4 different sizes: 6m, 12m, 18m and 24 months old.
To fit chest: 41, 51, 54 and 56 or 18, 20, 21 and 22 inches.
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
