Design

The dress has a wavy hemline and easy-to-knit main repeat pattern. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together.  Four buttons are stitched on to the front.

Sizes
The pattern includes 4 sizes to fit a child: 6m, 12m, 18m and 24 months old.
Yarn

The pattern uses double-knitting wool. An alternative would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply for international knitters. 

The picture shows the 12-month-old size knitted using Sirdar Snuggly DK in shade 0439 (Little Bud) and shade 0251 (White). You will need 2 (3, 3, 4) 50g balls of Little Bud and 1 ball of White for all sizes.

Skill

Intermediate.  Written instructions. 
Tension

22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles

Size 3.25mm and 4mm (USA sizes 3 and 6) needles are required.
