The Posy Swing Cardigan is for little ones from 3 months to 2 years old, knitted using double knitting (DK) wool and features a softly flared silhouette created by a three‑button yoke fastening and dotted along the hem is a row of pretty bobble flowers.
Design: The back and front of the cardigan are worked in one piece up until the armholes. The sleeves are started separately up until the yoke and then joined on the same needle as the back and front to complete the cardigan in one piece for the yoke.
Sizes: 3 sizes included to fit a child: 3-6, 6-12 and 12-24 months old.
Skill: Intermediate. Written instructions provided.
Yarn: Double knitting wool is required wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply).
Main picture shows cardigan knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shade 045 (baby pink) for Main Shade and shade 001 (white) for Contrast.
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
