About the Knitting Pattern

The Bunny Motif Jumper is suitable for children aged 6 months to 5 years. Worked in double knitting (DK) wool, this sweater features an adorable bunny motif on the front, complete with a pompom bobtail for a playful, tactile finish. The jumper is knitted flat in pieces with raglan sleeves and a practical four‑button side opening at the front, making dressing especially easy for younger sizes. Ribbed cuffs, hem, and neckline ensure a neat, classic shape that keeps its fit beautifully.

Design Details

The front, back, and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom up and the raglan seams are sewn together. Stitches are picked up along the front opening to create the button bands. A chart is provided for the rabbit motif.

Skills Level

Intermediate. Written instructions are provided, but some experience working from a chart is recommended for the motif.

Designed for double knitting (DK) wool. Suitable alternatives: USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply.

Needles

• 3.25 mm (USA 3) straight needles

• 4.0 mm (USA 6) straight needles

Other Requirements

• (Optional) small crochet hook for helping pull yarn through when making the pompom
