About the Knitting Pattern

The Parker the Polar Bear Jumper is designed for children aged 1–5 years and features a polar bear motif with a bobble nose on the front. Worked in double knitting (DK) wool, the jumper is finished with double rib edgings at the neckline, cuffs, and hem for a classic, snug fit. The pattern is written in English and supplied as a digital download PDF.

Design Details

The front, back, and sleeves are worked separately from the bottom up and sewn together. Stitches are picked up to complete the neckline. A chart is provided for the bear motif.

Sizes

Instructions include 3 sizes:

·       1–2 years

·       2–3 years

·       4–5 years

Skills Level

Intermediate. Written instructions are provided, but some experience is needed to work from a chart for the motif.

Yarn

Uses double knitting wool (overseas equivalents: USA light worsted / Australian 8 ply). The jumper shown in the main picture is knitted using: King Cole Pricewise DK in shades:

·       Orangutan (3381) 

·       Stonewash (3495) 

·       White (001) 

·       Black (048)

Needles

3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles
