The Ridgeberry Sun Dress is designed for little ones aged 3 to 12 months and worked in double knitting (DK) wool. The skirt features an easy-to-knit ridge pattern, while the bodice has garter stitch edgings and straps with button fastening for easy dressing. The bobbled-berry hem is knitted separately and sewn on, adding an attractive texture to give the dress a special touch.
Design: The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. The bobble hem edging is knitted separately and sewn on.
Sizes: Includes 2 sizes to fit baby/child: 3-6 and 6-12 months old
Yarn: The pattern uses double knitting wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply)
Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.
Needles: Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.
